And now comes a barrel of
black bass from the far western
lakes sent by Guy Greenwald.
A four pound specimen reared
his kindly head on the writers
table Wednesday. There is but
one thing better than eating
black bass and that is catching
them. The sight of the magnif
icent fish that graced my table
brought visions of the placid
waters of a lake , a taut , tugging
line , the mad whir of a reel and
the glorious struggle between a
worthy foe. The fishing fever
is on and the longing for the rod
and the reel has made irksome
the labor of the day since Guy
sent me one of the kings of his
kind.
