The Board of Supervisors met in regular session at 9 o'clock a m.
for.the purpose of closing: up the business of the County for the
Year 1912. ' . " .
The Report of Monico Garcia, Treasurer was-audited and fdund
correct. This report showed the following; amount of cash on
hand and in the bank:

The Quarterly and Annual Reports of Sylvester Peralta,
Sheriff, were examined and .found correct.
The Report of Henry J. Piatt, County Recorder, was examined
and found correct.
The Quarterly Report of Gilbert E. Greer, Superintendent of
Schools was examined and found correct.
The Report of Isaac Isaacson, Superintendent of Roads was ex
amined and found correct.
All other reports submitted by the various County and Precinct
officers were found to be correct with the exception of that of
Elisha Averette, Justice of the of Springerville Precinct, which
was returned for correction. The quarterly and annual reports of
a number of the Justices of the Peace were not submitted, and the
Clerk of the Board was instructed to notify them immediately
that such, reportsshould be submitted at once.
Upon petition, duly signed by the required number of tax pay
ers of St. Johns Precinct, N. P. Durau was appointed Constable
xof said Precinct and his salary fixed at $25 per month' upon his
giving the necessary bond. '
A petition, praying for the granting of a franchise and rigfht-of-wav
for the erection of power and distributing: lines along the
County Roads and through the streets of St. Johns, was present
ed by the 'kittle Colorado Light and Power Company', thru their
attorney, Gilbert E. Greer. The Board advised the petitioners
that this franchise would be granted as soon as the Company had
completed the necessary formalities, and secured the consent of
the State Corporation Commission for the formation of the cor
poration. '
A petition, praying for the changing; of certain streets in St
Johns, was presented to the Board. After due consideration,' ir,
was decided that the best interests of the town and County would
not be served by granting this petition. Hence, it was denied,
and the order was made that all closed streets within the limits of
the St. Johns Townsite should be immediately opened.
The Board then adjourned until tomorrow at9:oo o'clock a. m.
December 31, 1912.
Pursuant to adjournment, the Board met a.t 9:oo o'clock a. m.
and proceeded to examine the demands against Apache County,
that were on tile with the Clerk. The following; warrants were
ordered issued as salaries of County and Precinct officers drawing
a fixed salary:
