To the Editor of the St. Johns
.Referring to the statement that
thcr& is no apposition to the pro
posed Bond Issue for repairs and
nf the road from
Holbrook to Springerville ivitbin
Apache County, will say that oth
Af taxpayers -would like to enjoy
' the benefits of Bond expended in
other roads used dt taxpayers
continuously for-'the last 85 years
I am opposed to thejuse of all the
moiaey from the Bonds for the
Holbrook-Springerville r o'a d.
Other roads sheuld likewise be
improved and constructed even
tho' wo automobiles travel over
them. It aeems that in these days
roads are eagerly built and con
ducted accordiHg as to whether
the number of automeoilies is
large or small. Why not use
some of the money derived from
the sale of the Bonds on the old
St. Johns road between Cedro
and Barth's? The necessity for.
road construction and repairs in
that locality is more urgent andi
more needed thaa on the Hel-brook-Springerville
raod has been sadly neglected
for manv rears in spite of the!
urgent appeals of the tax payers.
Use the money but use it where
most needed, give the little
fellows achance even if they have
no automobiles. v
Yours, Nathan Barth.
