Ax era of economy has struck
Tombstone. Ecry on is on the re
trench. The municipal corporation,
the county goxcrninentatid the school
trtis-lecs hac caught the feer. Exen
Iho merchants arc doubling up and
doing various acts looking to economy,
live and bye it will be different. These
little spasmodic idrosyncnttiea do not
last long. The time U not far distant
when there will be no necessity for
economizing.
Ai.nnuv the eastern paper are dis
cussing Arizona as a State, and are
hunting up histories, paere and in
habitant to find out what her resour
ces arc. The result is the eastern folks
arc rinding out xxherc wc are and what
we do for a liiing out here. Arizona
is being more extensively advertised at
present than at any time in her his
tory. It is a fact that more inquiries
are tent to the Territory for informa
tion regarding our mines, soil, climate,
etc., than ever before. Statehood can
not come to quickly to suit the pro
gressive clement. It will instill new
life and energy into our industries;
and if it does drive out a few fossilized
barnacles it will not be diflicult to fill
their places with rood citizens who
will make two blades of grars grow
where none grew before.
:iO?1CK.
To all whom it may concern .
Please take notice tbat I, William
Eton, have this day severed all
business connections with Frank
Vaughn as partner, and that I will
not be responsible for any debts
which tho said Frank Vaughn
may contract front this date hence
forth, nor will I pay any part of
the same.
Dated at Benson, County of Co
