The city council will meet to mor row night and will probably take some action regarding the dieburse taent of the balance on hand in the general fund, amounting to about 2,000. The most popular plan seems to be to redeem the outstanding con tingent fund warrants and place that fund where it should be on a cash basis. All contingent fund warrants are held by our citizens who look them supposing them to rrprcsent cash, only to find out later that they could do nothing with them. Llewellyn, live ateefc agent of tho Santa Fe road, tells the Albuquerque Citizen that the cattle rates of his company go into ef fect today and are based on equal rates with the Denver, Texas Fort Worth road. On the 1st of May the company will commence moving 10,000 head of cattle from Wilcox, Arizona for J. M. Holt, and these cattle will be taken to Montana. Abort the 10th of nest month the Aztec Cattle company at Holbrook will begin moving several thousand cattle to Montana, and about the same time J. II. Hampson, the railroad contractor, will ship his cattle from his Arizona ranch to his pastures near Burns, -Cansas.
