K.V.A. JT . ' t K v iT (. Tj, 1 .5 U r Wlt tmv&imu 'M, SATURDAY, APRIL 13,1895. EDITORIAL. The county-seat paper scorns to bo especially "soro" on tho District Attornoy of tho count', and indulges in personalities that aro in keeping with tho records of that sheet. No matter who has had u hand in tho establishment of tho GuaudIan, tho ontorpriso was a commendable one, and whilo its appoaranco arouses tho wrath of the editor up tho valley, tho plo of tho county can easily smilo at his uneasy squirms and fool they aro bettor off financially whilo his souirmincs aro eoing on. Last fall tho promiso of a now papor caused him to write and spread broadcast Thirteen soparato articles against tho District Attornoy in his last issuo beforo election, but the records of tho Board of Supervisor's office now showth at tho editor of tho Solomonvillo paper was, by a clear majority of 119 votes, declared by tho pcoplo of tho county at tho election, to bo tho monumental liar of tho century. It is rather tough on him, but tho of Old Graham did it, and thoy ought to know him by this timo. Ho is liko a soulloss roptilo, in his own slime, festering in his own venom; his fangs aio drawn, but ho crawls about hissing and fuming, still a guilty, but no longer a hurtful thing. Tho Guardian is authorized by District Attornoy Jones to brand as absolutely false, tho statements of tho editor up tho valloy that Mr. 'Jones had entered or attempted to enter into any agreement to oppose tho operation of tho Classification Law. Ho has refused to contribute ono cent for attornoy fees to provent tho law going into offoct on tho 22d of this month. Tho court houso officials and their retained counsel can testify to this. Tho statement mado by tho same individual that Mr. Jones sought tho appointment of Immigration Comnissioncr is equally false Had ho favored tho latter law and desired it to bo enforccdjio certainly would have bcenpleascd to cotmnendfor tho position some roprcsnotativo person of tho county commanding the confidence of tho pooplo. m The Bulletin is cortainly well loaded with that article known as 4!gall" in oven uttering ono word about county printing. In 1889 it got tho contract at doublo tho bid put in by tho Glifton Clarion, and whon tho Claiion suspended tho Bulletin immediately wont to tho limit in printing prices, and lias systematically and itatedly robbed tho tax-payers of tho county until tho Guardian put in an apporance, refused tho Bulletin's efforts to "combino'and compelled tho Bulletin to "reduce" to tho oxtcnt of 1750.00 per annum. Tako your incdicino Mr. Bulletin; it may vbo a bitter pill but then sometimes a bittecpill does a great deal of good. in Safford, tcday has tho reputation o'' boing tho most ontorprising and aotivo business town in tho valloy, and yet wo havo no to speak of.
