The barmetric pressure has con tinued moderately bigb over Atlantic states. The Montana disturbance noted yesterday has lost much Of Its energy and la now central over Col orado. An area of bigb pressure Is moving In over the northwest, and there has also been an increase in pressure over tbe extreme southwest. Precipitation has been general west of the Rocky mountains and has also occured in upper Mississippi and Ohio valleys. Lake region and eastern Flor ida. The temperature has fallen mod erately over tbe western half of the country, except portions of Kansas. Oklahoma and Texao. Light frosts have occured In southern California. It is unusually warm over a broad area extending from the Rio Grande valley northeastward Into the Lake region. In Texas the weather has been partly cloudy and continued warm, with temperature at time of report ranging from 46 degrees at El Paso to 70 degrees at Brownsville. Sometimes a man's goods will ad vertise themselves and thli was the case with a rush sale of embrolderea and laces the reporter saw going on at Coulter's yesterday afternoon. The store was crowded with ladles buying embroideries and lacey that had been damaged by water in a shipment from New York. The clerks were busy selling 33 cent embroidery at 5 cents a yard; 15 cents embroidery at 5 cents; 10 cent lace3 at 1 1-2 cents a yard. These goods were slightly dam aged by water but are worth five times the money. Come today before they are all gone. o Made Good First. The Sun Fire Insurance Co. repre sented by Moore, Robinson & Adams, was the first to make good in the re cent fire. One of the policies on the Pi lot office was with this company. The proof of loss was forwarded to tbe home office in New Orleans on last Friday night by Mr. H. C.
