duty to see that her husband takes proper
care of his health.
The best medicine in all the world for
hard-worked business men is Dr. Pe rec's
Golden Medical Discovery. It is medicine
lor both body and mind. It makes the di?
gestion Rood, the liver active, and the appe?
tite keen. It fills the blood with the life
giving elements that build new tissues. It
invigorates ami purifies. It is the one great
blood-maker and flesh-builder. There's
nothing in the market "just as good."
A. I>. Purity, Esq., of Ottcrpond, Caldwell Co.,

one. I had suffered seven years with liver com?

Discovery' in one of your books. After using a
few IxMtlcsof the ' Discovery ' and three vials of
the 'Pleasant Pellets' I was completely cured."
One copy of a good, practical, medical
work is worth more in .1 home than a thous?

Tlo tho Xitind of Topsy Turvy Do Not
Stay-Thlutra In Cocoanuts-A Now
Country For Our RXaps.
It might havo boon ? fancy.
Or it might havo boon a freak.
But I thought I saw n parrot
With a noHobajj on its bonk.
And a duck was catching fishes.
Shod in high logged iaco up boots,
Wbllo a rrog sat on a hurdle '
Smoking live cent cheroots.
Thee wer? boctlea riding butlcrlhca.
And crickets- riding crabs,
Tboro were oysters in overshoe*,
".17. There were elephants in caus.
Dm when a dog began to mew,
And thought it was n bark,
jXI I wondorod what was coming,
Till I heard a voice remark:
"Go away, go away I
set *Tis the land or Topsy Turvy.
Do not stay."
But I lingered, yes, I lingered.
For a monkey on a .stick
Sang a lovo song to an ostrich.
And he culled her "pretty Dick."
_ It was very sweet and touching,
Like tho taste of apple pie,
And u listening potato
Had a teardrop in its oyo.
So I turned away discreetly,
Witli u sympathetic sneeze,
And loosed tho luces in my boots.
To give my feelings ease.
Then the ruin eauio like molasses.
And 1 murmured, "What u shamo
That I didn't bring u bucket."
Till I heard a voico exclaim:
"Go away, go away I
'Tis the land of Topsy Turvy.
Do not stay."
So I went, but now whecovor
Pooplo walk across my toes,
Or some absentminded person
Hangs his hat upon my nose,
Or whenever things look yellow
Through a bilious attack,
Or sonio clumsy banded waiter
Trickles gravy down my back;
When a sudden wind unkindly
Shuts my lingers In thu door.
Or I sit upon a tin tack
And go dancing on tho floor,
I recall that time departed
When I nearly lost my nervo
In tho old, old world of wonders.
When I heard that voice observe!
'?Go away, go nwayl
'Tis tho land of Topsy Turvy.
Do not stay."
Things In Cocoanuts.
There uro more things in cocoanuts
than you imagiuc. There is no port of
them which is not turned to sum'' ac?
count. First of all, there is the trunk of
the tree, the strong wood, that is made
into plunks and hoards. Then there arc
the leaves, which are dried in tho sun
and made into mats and baskets, roofs
of houses and hats and fans and servo
instead of paper to write on and to make
nooks of. Those leaves that are not used
for these purposes will feed cattle and
manurofields. Tho stem of the leaves is
very tough and strong and makes fences
round gardens. Ashing rods ami a
variety of other things for use in In discs.
The young green shoots are a cabbage,
which are eaten as a vegetable and
made into pickle or preserve. The
young, unformed nut of tho cocoiuiut
palm is n medicine. The nut itself gives
food and drink. Tho green husks can
he made into n sweetmeat. Of the fiber
that covers tho shell inside tho outer
husk are made mat tresses, cushions,
ropes, canvas, fishing nets, brushes und
mats. Front the nuts are pressed an oil
for the hair ami to burn for light or to
make soap and candles, and the ref?
use that is left after the oil is taken
is fed to poultry. The shell of the nut
si rves for drinking cups, spoons, pipes,
bottles, knife handles and a great many
more things than I can tell you. And
last of all is drawn the sap, or toddy, us i
it is culled, ami distilled into spirit, or ]
made into sugar or vinegar.
Dear Aunt Jan.
When Aunt Jan's coming, there's ouch romp?
ing in the house.
She's sweeter than a daffodil and softer than
it mouse.
She smgs about the passages and never wants
a rest.
And father say- it's all because a bird Is in her
breast.
When Aunt Jan's kissing, there's such a crowd?
ing round her knees,
Buch clambers to her bosom and snoh buttles
for 11 squeeze.
We dirty both her snowy cuffs, We trample on
her gown.
And sometimes all her yellow hair comes tum?
bling, tumbling down.
When Aunt Jan's dancing. WO all watch her as
she goes.
With in und out anil roundabout upon her
shiny toes.
And when her merry breath is tired she stops
I he fun and stands
To curtsy saucily to us ->r kiss her pretty
bauds.
When Aunt Jan's playing, the piano seems
alive.
With nil the notes as busy as the l ees are in 11
hive.
And ? In a it's time for Bedfordshire, as sweet?
ly as a lurk,
She hing- that <>"d is waiting to protect US ill
the (lai k.
When Aunt Jan's leaving, ivc are net ashamed
to cry,
A-klsstnu at the station ami a waving her
goodby.
But springtime brings tho crocus :.lter winter
rain and frost,
fc'o dear Aunt Jan will come again. She isn't
really lost.
