Pioneer Day passed off very quietly
celebrated by eating ice cream and
watermelons.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis Adams are vis
iting the latter's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Frehner.
The deepest gloom has befallen our
little community by the death of Miss
Delora Peterson, daughter of Mr. &
Mrs. C. M. Peterson, July 24, 1920.
The cause of her death is unknown,
she was as well as could be up until
15 minutes before she died. She was
14 years of age.( Funeral services
held Sunday 3 p. m. The speakers
being Dudley Leavitt, George Bowler,
Joseph Frehner & Bishop Wm. Ab
bott. About 50 Mesquite people came
up to attend the funeral, bringing the
Mesquite choir. The bereaved parents
brothers, sisters and relatives have
the sympathy of us all. She is sur
vived by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. C.
M. Peterson, sisters Hilda, Iona and
Verda and brother' Clifford Peterson.
