The sampling machine at the Tuc
son :-ampling workx was bu-y tin
morning. Last week about 30 ton
of ore was received, and as much
more is expected tin- week. Every
indication jioints to activity in all the
mining camps this fall. The ore re
ceived is all of good grade and some
of it goe- oUO and 000 per ton. Mr.
Wores, the proprietor, last week made
a trip to Mineral Hill in Pinal county,
where he examined some valuable
mines. He i-ited the IJeymert and
reports that camp in splendid condi
tion. The mill ua shut down for a
few day-, but will start again this
week. Mr. Wee- has done a good
business for the past seven month-,
and he thinks the outlook is better

dysentery and bloody llux in Pope
County, Illinois, last summer. As
many a five deaths occurred in one
day. Messrs. Walter Brother-, of Wal
