It was with feolings of mingled sorrow and surprise that our people learned on Tueiday afternoon of the death of 3Irs. Daniel Burhans, in the 39tu year of her age. , In the morning she was about her house as usual, though she had a severe faiuting fit during the previous night. Her chil dren left her for school at the utual hour, and soon after a young . girl desiring an engagement to do housework, accompanied by a lady friend, called at the house. She staid a few moments and lef L and is pre sumed to have been the last person to nee her alive. Her husband had cone to his farm to spend the day,, taking his dinner with him. On the return of the son from school at noon he found his mother lying on a bed up stairs dead. We are inform ed that she had been In poor health for some time, and that she wa never a Very strong woman, and has had serious pain for more than a year from time to time. in the region of the heart, and doubtless this trouble was the "cause of her sudden death. She leaves a husband and four children, three sons and a daughter,' to mourn the departure of a loving wifo and a fond and affectionate mother. The funeral Is to be held at the house this (Friday) afternoon at 8 o'clock. The sympathies of the entire community go out to the husband and children' in their sad bereavement.
