The special committee appointed to look itfter the Canning Factory contract made the following report, which upon motion was accepted and ordered placed on file. To the Mayor and Common Council of the city or Owosso: Gentlemen: Your committee appointed by your resolution aud contract, dated April 7lh. .1888, between the city and Messrs. Wigcaus & Burdett, of the Owosso Canning and Preserving Co., beg leave to reoort that thev have had tho same under consideration; and that in tho opinion of vour committee said Canning and Preserv ing Co. have complied with the conditions as far as relative to the construction of buildings, and commencing and persuing the business specified, a copy of which is hereunto attached. In rvgard to the futther fulfilment of said contract in tue tuture, your commit tee, in case you desire it to persuc it fur. thtr. would ask instructions as regards Htcutity. In caso the business is aband oned or not conuueica or carrieu on in nccordanco with the spirit of this contract, that the money shall be returned to the city. Whether the Council will require uny further security or bond for the faith tui Derforraance of the future of the con tract, or whether they arc satisfied to deliver the order without further security.
