Hostetter's Stomach Bitters is the successful candidate for the peoples choice, and yet, popular and well known as it is th"ie are unfortunates who keep on trying the drastic remedies of former days. It is to the Intelligent portion of the public that the well known and long tried properties of the Bitters appeal. Iteason should be guid ed by experience In the matter of medica tion. "The best guide to our feet is the lamp of experience," said a great patriot of the early revolutionary period, and the exclamation is pregnant with truth. For over a third of a century the Bitters daily has met with the endorsment of people suffering from liver complaint, malaria, con stipation, rheumatism, debility and troubles accompanied by dyspepsia. Latterly It has declared itself and been thoroughly approv ed a? a remedy for "la grippe." Queer world! Queer people! Here are men nnd women by thousands suffering hum all sorts of !!seases, iteming all man ners of pain, spending their all on physi cians nnd "getting no better but rather worse'' when right at hand there's a remedy that says it can help them localise It's helped thousands like them. "Another patent medicine advertisement" you say. Yes but not of the ordinary sort. The medicine is Dr. Pierce Golden Medical Dis covery, and it Is different from tho ordinary nostrums In this: It does what it claims to do or it costs you nothing! Tho way Is this: You pay your druggist $1.00 for a liottle. You read the directions, and you follow them. You get better, or you don't. If you do you buy another bottle, and perhaps another. If you don't get better, you get 2 our money back. And the queer thing Is that so many people are willing to be sick when the remedy's so near at hand. Common Council. A little boy of Mrs. McDonald's living near here, fell against a red hot stove and was fearfully burned. The pain was terri ble, and It was thought the burn was so se vere as to scar the child for life. 1 sold the lady a bottle of Chamberlain's Tain Balm, which, after creasing the sore, she applied. It soon removed all the fire and eased the pain, and In ten days the boy was well, no trace of tve scar remaining. J. D. McLaren, Keysport, Clinton county, 111. For Sale by Johnson & Henderson.
