Beuralgia, Cured- Red what Mr. Bo j den says: no
medicine ever had certificates from suet respectable sources
aa Ca ter' Spanish Mixture Mr. F. Boyden, on of the
original proprietor f the Astor House, New York, and
for a number of years of the Exchange llo el, Richmond,
Vi, was cured of a severe attack of Neuralgia, by Carter's
Spanish Mixture. The rapid and perfect cure effected in
hi ease by this valuable medicine, arrested bis attention
and excited hit interest; h recommended it to other af
flicted wilh a variety of diseaaes, and in every Instance
cure was effected. He ha seen it cure Ague and 'ever,
Rheumatism, Liver Complaint, Dyspepsia, Fevers, Violent
Coughs, and case which were said to be confirmed Con
sumption, and nearly every other disease for which it i
used. He remark! ills difficult to know what disease it
will not relieve or cure, and as a Blood Purifier, and Spring
and Fall medicine,, he ha never seen its equal. He cheer
ful. recommends it on all occasions, and believes it to be
the most valuable remedy extant. marcb.8 lm
Important to Consumptives Many valuable Hvet
hav been saved by Hxoax, Clark Co.'s GaiftnsB
Cod Livbb Oil, which, in all human probability, would
have been lost but for it timely use.
It Is no quack medicine, bat the pure Oil, made wilh tbe
utmost care from the FresK Cod F'ush Liters, and is re
commended by the most eminent physiciansin fcurope and
America, and has proved by ten year' experience the most
valuable remedy for Consumption and Scrofula ever dis
covered, for, while it cures the diseaae.lt increases the
health and strength of the patient.
CAOrios Taera is a great deal of spirion oil, adultera
ted with Seal Oil, Whale Oil, Ac, which, instead of benefit
ting, injures the patient, by deranging the digestive or
gans, bat being cheaper.isby unprincipled persons palmed
off for genuine.
Notice, that HaoxatAX, Clark ft Co.'s signature is over
the cork, and the Eagle and Mortar on the label; for, since
the dehth of W. a.. Sushton, our late partner, lhre hat
been an article called Rushton'a put in the market, which

Tbb Rkiqb or Art. In this wonderful age. Art lays her
master touches or almost everything . " The ceilings over us
and the carpets w tread on, are hallowed by Art. Art
wind the railway through the mountains and the mud;
makes her machine of wood and iron, to act at if with
knowledge and annihilates space with lightning tamed down
to the tuteledgs of a boy. Nothing is too lofty for her touch
and nothing too humble. A new proof of this old conviction
has just fallen under our notice, In the shape of a Cathar

If we understand the subject, he ha carried that article
to the farthest perfection of which it is capable. Instead of
employing Drugs in its composition, as we have always
thought the necessary and only way, he has with consum
mate skill extracted the virtue of the medicine to be em
ployed and combined them alone in their purity together.
The composition Is then mixed and rolled by machinery and
steam power into a sperold pill which is wrapped in an en
velope of gelatine, for protection from the effects of weather
or time, and then thickly coated with sugar, to serve as its
passport over the palate. Notwithstanding all the labored
perfection they are offered to the Public at less than one
eenteach. However humble the department, we think this
may be eafely characterised as the consummation of Art in
its line. MoruVig Kw$. BtU.
