PATENT
ELASTIC FIRE & WATER-PROOF
CEMENT ROOFING.
TfTE undersigned are prepared to introduce Into rise tn
Tennese-e W. CHILD A OIL'S PATENT ELA3
TIC PIRK AND WATKK-PKOOF CEMKNT ROFIVQ, and
ask the attention of Architects, builders. Railroad Com
p.nies, and the public to eximlne itetuperiority over other
honfl.ir.
ARCHITECTS AND BUILDERS thoold not fail te
evamioe this Roofing, as it ri better and cheaper than any
tiling in ue. Tbe material forms a hard and imooih cur
face that will ret'st the action of the atmosphere In every
climate. It i impervious to water, elastic, and fleiible.
It contract! and expands wi h the change of thea'mnt
pbere, and will neither vapor ate, crack cor rot; and, a to
it '-urahill'y, there ia no question.
It is practically imperishable, and will perfectfutly resist
any ordinary external exposure to fire, as it abundantly
prored. and we will warrant it water-proof. We will en
gage to pnt onr Rooting on over ordinary good iheathing.
oin smntries, tar ana grarei, tin, sine, copper, or iron root
It making no difference how steep or flat they may he
for seven dollars per one hundred square teet; it being far
cheaper than any Roof of tbe old style, and we are ture it
will ire better satisfaction.
It will also be found to be the best thing ever Invented to
cover or mend old leaky tin, tar and gravel roof 4, or around
chimneys, scuttles, dormar windows, and gutters, here the
tin is rv-t-d through. This Cement can be put on to last
as long as stone, and form a perfect adhesion to any ob
jrf.t to which It is applisd. Tin Roofs can be painted orer
(and warranted not to leik) at two d 'liars and fifty ceots
pi-r hundred square feet, which is cheaper and murk bet
teir than paint. This Ronflog will be found to be the best
theng for covering larre Roofs where they are exposed to
fir such as Sirara Mills, Saw Mills, Factories, fUilrnad
Cars, Bridges, Dipau, nation Rouses, gleambott Decks,
and, in fact, e ry kind of Roof where there is an external
etposnrefrom fire. As the Roof tg perfect, without ajoinl
in it, it presents n" chance for fire to communicate, and any
light substance will burn out without igniting.
rf" Insurance Offices at Cincinnati, and other placet
where Child k Co.'s Cement hat been used, insure Build
ings with Hoofs eovred rlth this Cement, at the same
rte as for those cortrel with Iron, Copper or Tin.
tW The Cement will be furnished to those at a distance
with directions for using.
UT Orders tent to the undesigned, throngh the Post
