ARCHITECTS AND ETJTLDES3 shnnii not fni te
samiue this Koonnx, s ft ' better and cheaper than any
thine; in u-e. The material forms a hard and smooth sur
face that will resst the a:tioo of the atmosphere in every
climate. It is impervious to water, elastic, and flexible.
It contract and expands wi-h the ehang-s of the a'mos
pUere, and will neither -vapor ate, crack nor rot; and, ai to
in durability, there is cpieition.
It is practically imperishable, and will perfictfully resis t
aDy ordinary extern! exposure to fire, as is abundantly
proved, and we will warrant it water-proof. We will e n
raire to put our Roolnir on over ordinary prood theathini?,
old slunirles, tar and gravel, tin, sine, copper, or iron roofs
it makinj? no difference how strep or flit ihev may be
for seven dollars per one hundred square feet; it bring far
cheaper than any Roof of the old style, and we are sure it
will i.ive better satisfaction.
It will ijIso be found to be the best if i'f ever invente I to
- cover or mend old leaky tin, ta' an 1 gravel roof , or around
chimneys, scuttle, dormar windows, ami put'.ers, here the
tin is ru:l-d through. 1 hi Cement can be put on to last
as long as stone, and frtn a perfect adt eoa to any ob
ject to which it is applied. Tin Itoofi Cnn be pa nted over
(and warranted not to leak) at two d liars and fifty centi
per hundred square feet, which U cheaper and much bet
teir than paint. This Hoofing will be lound to be the best
theng for covering larsre Koofs where thev are c loosed tl
fir such as Hiearn Mills, Haw Mi la, factories, Railroad
Cars, liridh'es, Depots, nation lloutj, Sieamboit Decks,
and, in fact, ev r kind of Hoof where there is sn external
exposure from fire. As the Koof is ptrfect, without a Joint
in it, it presents no chance for fire to communicate, and any
light suttance will burn out without igniting.
f?tf Insurance OUices at Cincinnati, nd other places

Hnving made considerable inquiry as to the merits of the
Patent Elastic Cement Hoofing," introduced into this city
by Childs A Co., I nnd it to be highly recommended in this
city by many excellent judges; that it is meeting aim vt-ry
ready and general introduction; that its suieriority over
the tar composition Hooting is decided and freely admitted,
and flnaMy, I expect to adopt it for my next roof, which will
be next summer having Intended to use tin, but will try
the virtues of the 'Patent Elastic Roofing" a a substitute.
