ELASTIC FIRE & WATER-PROOF
THE undersigned are prepared to introduce Into uefu
TmncBwe W. f. CHII.Dd CO.'S PATENT ELAS
TIC FIBB AND WATKH-PROOF CEMENT ROOFI.vn, and
auk the attention of Architect. Builders, Railroad Com
panies, and the public to examine its superiority over other
Roofintr. . . . .. .
ARCHITECTS AITS BTJIXDEES should not fcul to
etamioe thi Rno'lng, as it is better and cheaper than any
thingin nse. The material forms a hard and smooth enr
face that will resist the action of the atmosphere in every
climate. It i Impervious to water, elastic, and flexible.
It contracts and expands wuh the changes of the I'moi
phere, and will neither e vapor ate, crack nor rot; and, as to
itsduramli'v, there is no question.
It is practically imperishable, and "III perfect fully rests t
any ordinary external exoosnre to fire, as is abundantly
proved, and we will warrant it water-proof. We will en
gage to put our Hoofing on over ordinary good fheathing,
old shin 'lea, tar and gravel, tin, ainc, er-pper, or iron roofj
It making no difference how sleep or flat they may he
for seven dollars pr one hundred srptare fert; it being far
cheaper thsn snv Roof of the old style, and we are sure it
will yive better satisfaction.
It will also be found to be the bent tiling ever invented to
cover or mend old leaky tin, tarsnd gravel roof, or around
chimney", scuttle, dormar windows, ind putter, where the
tin is rusted through. This Cement can be put on to last
as loug as stone, and form a perfect adhesion to any ob
ject to which it is applied. Tin Roofs can be pa n ted over
(and warranted not to letk) at two d liars and fifty cents
per hundred square feet, which is cheaper and much bet
teir than pilot. This Hoc tag will be found to be the best
theng for covering lare-e Eoofs where they are i xnosed to
fir such as Steam Mills, raw Mi. Is, Factories, Railroad
Cars, Bridge. Depots. Italian Housed, Kteamko'tt Decks,
and, in fact, evi-r kind ol Roof where there is an external
exposure from fire. As the Roof id perfect, without a joint
in it, it present no chance for lire to commonlcate, aud any
light sabi lance will burn out without igniting.
pfT Insurance unices at Cincinnati, ami otner piar.es
where Child A Co.'s Cement has been u.ed, insure Build
ing with Roofs oovred vi:h this Cement, at the tame
rate" as for those eovtrei with Iron, Copper or 'fin.
T" The Cement will be furnished to those at a distance
with directions for using.
ZS Order tent to the undersigned, through the Poat
c&ce, will be promptly attended to
