THE TJNDER5IGSFD, iranuractorer and "'ef3p
proprietor of the above brand of WHISY.j'iir'f-g
would respectfully inform his customers and pur -ievilai
chasers of this celebrated brand, thatthere has appearet in
the Charleston a r. smother Southern markets a counterfeit
bf the above Whisky, being a poisonous imitation, brandeJ
similar to his brand; it passes under the name of 8. N. Dike's
Maanolia Whisky, Cincinnati, Ohio, and other cames simi
lar to S. N, rike. At there is no party in this city of the
name of 8. N. Dike, it is intended to impose and deceive
those who would purchase the genuine brand. I make this
statement to pat parties on their guard, as there are several
persons in the east and west making an imitation, and
using my name with a slight alteration. I have analyzed
several samples of this counterfeit brand, and found thatit
contains a deadly poison: this fact alone impels me to cau
tion the public, prote.-t I bos who ere liable to be iccaivrd,
and prevent the evil results atten ing the use of this
poisorjoui imitation. I lio hereby caution the counter
feiters of my brand that I will prosecute them to the full
extent of the law. The genuine 8. N. Pike's Magnolia
Whisky U distil e l from the be;t quantities of Rye and
Corn, and is warranted free from any deleterious or obnox
ious compoun I, it being a pure aad healthy beverage.
Many parties have recently commenced making a brand
of Whisky called Magnolia, but they are an immitition
of my trade brand, so be careful t: d get the only genuine
Magnolia Whisky made in the United States, and distilled
only by me. SAM'L N PIKE,
