CINCINNATI, OHIO.
THE UNDERSIGNED, manufacturer and srleiff
proprietor of the above brand of WH ISK Y,l -sJLJ?-would
respectfully inform his customer? and pur it-c.-J
chasers of this celebrated brand, that there has appeared In
the Charleston and other Southern markets a counterfeit
of the above Whisky, being a poisonous imitation . branded
similar to his brand; it passes under the name of S. N. Dike's
Magnolia Whisky, Cincinnati. Ohio, and other names simi
lar to 8. N. f ike. As there is no party in this city of the
name of 8. N. Dike, it is intended to impose and deceive
those who would purchase the genuine brand. 1 make this
statement to pat parties on their guard, as there are several
persons in the east and west making an imitation, and
using my name with a slight alteration. I have analyzed
several lamp les of this counterfeit brand, and found that it
contains a deadly poison; this fact alone impels me to cau
tion thi , protect those who arliable to be ecived,
and preven' the evil results attending the nse of this
poisonous imitation. I also hereby caution the counter
feitersof my brand that I will prosecute them to the full
extent of the law. The genuine S. N Pike's Msgnolia
Whisky is distil ed from the best quantities of Rye and
Corn, and is warranted free from any deleterious orobnoxt
iouscompound,it being a pure and healthy beverage.
Many parties have recently commenced making a bran
ot Whisky oall&d Magnolia, but they are an immitation
of my trade brand, so be careful ar d get the only genuina
Magnolia Whisky made in the United States, and distilled
only by me. SAM'L N PIKE,
