Crouch vs Alexander Virgil and
Hannibal Willis for damage for
an assault was tried in tho Pro
bate court bofore Judge Lango
yesterday and today,

Willis bi others raited a crop on
land loused from tho plaintiff,
and tho lease contained some
iron -dad provisions the enforce
ment of which pluced a hardship
upon tho Willises, Alexander
Willis is charged with assaulting
Mr. and Mrs. Crouoh with n
monkoywrenoti after an alterca
tion in regard to disposal of tho
orop.and Mr. Crouoh was boaton
senseloss while Mrs. Crouoh had
her arm broken. In a J criminal
aotion growing out of this caso,
Alexander Willis was fined S100
and costs, and tho present aotion
is a retrial of a civil suit brought
Dy Mrs. Crouoh in Ootobor, 1905,
for S950 damages in which no
verdict was reached.
The Judge instructed tho jury
