All tbo mothers were there as It was hoped they would be, but where were tha fathers ? Con Bpiclous by their absence, only a scant few being present. However, it was unavoidable in most cases, not many being aide to leave their work during the day. The pupils did so will in their exer cises that each number was worthy of applause and the audience was not backward in showing its appreciation. The drills, w hlch take so much labor and patience on the part of the teach ers, were excellent, the daisy drill, the ball drill, and one by the little tots in their red chairs were especially cute and almost perfect time was kept. The recitations, songs and other numbers were all enjoyed. The baby show was a prominent feature of the program which brought out the mother nature in the little girls, much to the apprecia tion of the listeners. The work of Misses Poy and Mayes, teachers, is so thoroughly good, not only in putting so excellent an enter tainment before an audience but in all their school work, that praise to them should not be st n. ted ami we all cer tainly can see that their labor is reap ing good results.
