Daniel McMartin, one of the pio neers of Yale, celebrated his H2nd birthday on Thursday of this week. Some of his friends knowing of the fact presented him with a gold watch, chain and locket. The primary election law furnishes an interesting item in that it provides for the closing of all saloons in the state for three days in succession dur ing the first week in September.
