Gravis & Mitelii Where Your Dollars Have More Sense sm, Yak $9,000 In Purses Offered At Port Huron Race Meet. Just tour weeks from today the Btarters "go" will be heard at the Port Huron Driving 1'ark and the horses will be oil for another season. August 17, 18, 10, and 20th are the dates. Nine thousand dollars in purses, just 81,000 more than has ever been hungup on the l'ort Huron track will beoffered by the l'ort Huron Driving 1'ark Agri cultural Association in 1915. Fourteen big races, lust two more than have ever been carded for a local meeting will be offered to the race loving public of l'ort Hurou and vicinity. There will be fourearlv closing si,- 000 stake events, all well filled, one each day tH the meeting. xou can say for me. said Secretary Knill, "that not in years has the pros pect been so bright for a race meeting. look to see the largest number of horses here that has ever graced our track and naturally tilled to make the sport worth while, while the purses, us you see, are more attractive to the horseman than ever before." There appears to be a reason for all of this optimism. Horse raclDg is a dead issue in Canada this year, owing to the European war. All of the big stables are being used as concentration camps by the Canadian soldiers with the result that there will be no revival of the sport across the border until the war is ended at least As a result oi this condition practically all of the Canadian ateppers, and they boast of 6ome mighty line steeds, too, have in vaded the confines of the United States and the competition this season prom ises to be more keen than ever. One doesn't have to go away from home this summer to see real harness racing. As Secretary Knill states, the outlook was never so bright and l'ort Huron s annual harness meeting lor 1915 should eclipse any in the history of the track. Don't forget the dates, August 17, lb, 19 and 20. l'aste em in your hat. People Say To Us "I cannot eat this or that food, it does not agree with me." Our advice to all of them is to take a before and after each meal. 25c a box The Rexall Store of Grant Holden.
