E. pastor this year. The body of the nine year-old daugh ter of John Carotlino.of Marlette, who was drowned three or lour weeks ago, was found a few days since about two miles from where she fell in. A bank of sand had closed over her. The third vote on the -high school proposition t Peck taken last week was another defeat, vote standing 31 to4i. However it is only a question of time and 6hort time at that before the proposed and much needed high school will be built. Richmond experienced the biggest lire in years early Tuesday morning. The department store of Cooper & Son and the Elliott House were practically destroyed. The buildings and contents are a total loss. Fire originated in the basement of the store and reached two oil tanks which exploded.
