Spain Pearce, of Los Angeles, Calif., for many years a resident of St. Clair county, was in Yale Wednesday renewing old acquain tances. He made the trip from Port Huron with Fred Locke. Fourteen young lady friends of Mabel Nichols celebrated her birthday with a party at her home on Monday evening. A very pleasant time was enjoyed and the guests were served ice cream and cake. Joseph Yuill, brother of Mar garet A. Yuill, who died Sept. 3, filed a petition in probate court Saturday to be appointed perman ent administrator of the estate of the deceased. The estate amounts to $800. Mrs. Geo. Mann, who injured the ligaments of her right ankle and leg nearly three months ago by falling down a step, manages to get around a little with the aid of a chair, but cannot bear the whole weight of her foot yet up on the floor. Rev. Stroup and wife, Mrs. J. E. Ferguson and T. M. Udell were at Pontiac Tuesday to see Joe Ferguson, who is in the hospital at that place.
