After killing two officers, wounding three others and resisting arrest for 24 hours, by barricading his house at Oscilla, Ga., W. H. Bostwlck was shot today. Uo9twIck killed Chief of Police Davis and Deputy Sheriff Shefflold nnd wounded Sheriff Mclnnes and Deputies Bass and Tucker, who were trying to arrest him at his homo yes iferday. Ho barricaded his doors and fired from tho windows. A num ber of shots wero flred at Bostwlck, hut the officers finally retreated and psked Governor Brown to send n company of militia. Governor Brown dispatched two companies to Oscilla today.. Bostwlck was arrested some time ngo for assault to commit murder. He was released on bond, but his bondFmen withdrew Sunday.
