Haw, a lawyer of Han over, and passed a most happy and peaceful life at "Dundee," where were born her four children, Lucien P. Haw, of Washington, D. C.; George E. Haw, Mary Overton Haw and Liz zie Winston, now Mrs.^T. H. Camp bell, of Mississippi. Her love and de votion to her husband and children knew no bounds, and this home she so dearly loved she enriched and dig nified by her presence and beautified by her work. Being blessed with an excellent constitution, she never wearied in her work for her family and for others. To dispense a lavish hospitality and to help in every way those not so blessed as she, was one of her greatest joys. Indeed, her crowning and marked characteristics were unselfishness, humility and sweetness. None knew her but to love her. Her greatest happiness af ter her children married and left her was to work among her flowers, and her last day in health was largely spent in the garden tending them care fully. Young and enthusiastic as she was in feelings, no one of her children could ever think of her as old, for she had no infirmity. * When her hus band's work was in his church or among the members, she was his will ing and earnest helpmeet, and indeed in every walk of life she was an or nament and a joy. The home to each one seems lonely and desolate, for she was its sunshine. When her summons came she was all prepared, and though she lived a week, she did not suffer. All of her children were around her as the sweet spirit winged its flight to heaven, and when we recall her among the roses on that last day we think of her in the poet's sweet lines, and feel sure she is there ? "Where everlasting spring abides And never fading flowers, Death, like a narrow sea, divides This heavenly land from ours." WrLLIAM TURNER PITZKR. William Turner Pitzer died June 3, 1919; age seventy; was born near Martinsburg, W. Va. While a young man lived in Minnesota seven years. Having returned to West Virginia, married Miss Annie Stuckey and set tled near Tuscarora, where he served for a number of years as deacon; moved to Gerardstown in 1900, where the writer became intimately associ ated with him as deacon and later as elder In Gerardstown church. He was a consistent Christian, a good hus band, and kind father. He is sur vived by his wife and three children, Mrs. A. M. Cusliwa, Miss Mamie and Harry M. Pitzer; two brothers and three sisters; William, his youngest child, having died less than one year ago. He will be missed in home, church and community; but blessed be his name who hath loved us and given himself for us and made it pos sible for us to some day be reunited and to be in his presence, where there is fulness of joy, and at his right hand, where there are pleasures for evermore.
