some one has a Victrola that they can not use and would like to give it where it could do good. The greatest need of all, however, is a piano for this Department. Sev eral years ago some one gave one to the boys and it has proved a great help to them, as they are all musical and some of them play well. Will some one come to our help? There are no idlers here at Still man; from the President down, every one is busy from early morning until late at night. Sometimes the girls think that there is no time for play, but they have some time every day, ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPER WANTED. Rally Day was observed by the Aux ilary of New Concord on Saturday, October 21st, at the manse, each mem ber bringing lunch. The morning programme was devoted to Foreign Missions. The afternoon was spent in a study of Home Missions. Both of these meetings were made largely de votional. A goodly number came, al though several were unavoidably de tained at home. Eight or ten visitors were present. That the meeting was an entire success was the feeling of all present without exception. The President brought and ex hibited for sale some beautiful fancy work which was the product of our Foreign Mission Schools. Between forty and fifty dollars' worth has been sold. The thank offering amounted to nearly twenty dollars. More will, doubtless, be sent in by those who were unable to be present. It is the custom of our Auxiliary to hold these all-day rallies twice each year. They are thus made to be a prominent feature of our Church life. CELEBRATE Home Mission Week NOVEMBER 12-19 "Home Mission Week" is the occasion when the thought of the Protestant Churches of America is centered in a de finite way on the great religious needs of our own country. Ministers will preach on Home Missions! Auxiliaries will study Home Missions! Churches will contribute to Home Mis sions! The Assembly has recommended Nov ember 12-19 as an appropriate time for "Thank-offerings" in all our churches to assist in providing sorely needed Home Mission buildings. The burnt dormitories at Canoe and Blackey, Ky., must be replaced! The dormitory at Stillman Institute, condemned by the State authorities, must be rebuilt! To complete the buildings now in the course of erection will require an added ex penditure of $100,000! The Committee appeals to the Churches and Societies for assistance, that these splendid mission enterprises may be equip ped for service! November 12-19 is the time! A. N.
