Through the efforts of the Chamber of Commerce, the School Board, .Loyal
Legion of Lumbermen and Loggers, the Citizens Committee of 50, and other
individuals and organizations interested in the development of their city and of af
fording educational and social advantages, arrangements have been made for our
rnnua! lyceurr. course. , . .
The first number will be given October 13th, End the last in March, there be
ing five entertainments in all.
This lyceum course will be given in the new school auditorium.
Season tickets have been allotted to the Citizens Committee of 50 and you can
purchase from any one of them. However, if it is more convenient to use the form
below, send it with your check to John L. Strola. Secretary-Treasurer of th
Lyceum Course, St. Helens, Oregon.
Reservations for the entire season can be made at the St. Helens Chamber of
Commerce on or after October 1st.

The First Number
for the Course
Is a lecture by Fred G. Bale, noted lecturer. As the youngest mayor in Ohio, Mr.
Bale received wide publicity. He has be en in public life ever since. While serv
ing ac mayor he practiced law in Colum bus and soon after became prosecutor in
the Juvenile Court of that city, one of the noted Juvenile Courts of America. Bale
speaks from his heart ss well as from intellect. He is earnest, intensive and direct.
