They sit within a woodland place, Trellised with rustling light and shade; So like a spirit's in her face That he is half afraid To speak lest she should fade. 1 Mysterious, beneath the boughs, Like two enchanted shapes, they are, Whom Love hath builded them a house Of little leaf and star, - And the brown evening jar. So lovely and so strange a thing Each is to each to look upon, They dare not hearken a bird sing, Or from the other one Take eyes lest they be gone. t So still the watching woodland peers And pecks about them, butterflies 'Light on her hand a flower; eve hears Two questions, two replies O love that never dies! "It is just such a question as a gilded youth asked the head waiter in a Broadway restaurant the other morning. "Was Blank here last night?" he began. "Yes, sir," the waiter answered. "And," said the youth nervously, "was I with him." They passed a magnificent building during their travels. "That's a fine house," said Brown to Jones, "and yet I can not bear to look at it." "Why not?" asked Jones. "Why?" repeated Brown. "Because the owner built it out of blood, the aches, the groans of his fellow-men; out of the grief of children and the wails of women." "Great Scott!" exclaimed Jones; "the brute! What is he a money lender?" "Oh, nodear friend; he is a dentist!" From a small beginning the growth or the business has been phenomenal, fair treatment, modern methods and the excellence of? the work turned out by the company securing for it a large clientele in Salt Lake and the inter-mountain west. With the opening of the new offices the own ers, R.'G. Sleater, W. G. Romney and J. Q. Ryan, have decided upon the purchase of a large amount of new equipment. The personality of the own ers of tho Century and the men associated with them in conducting the business has been largely responsible for the rapid growth of the institution. D. J. Martin and A. F. Fleming are in charge of the business office of the company. Both are well equipped for their positions, having had years of experience in practical printing, designing and es timating. W. C. Ashwell, foreman of tho com posing room, is one of the most capable printers in the west. As important a department as the Century possesses is its press room. J. A. Forsha, head pressman for the firm, is unquestionably In the front rank of his craft. Probably no better evidence of his ability could be found than the cover of the Christmas number of Goodwin's Weekly published in December, an unusually dif ficult piece of press work. Mr. Forsha has re ceived a great deal of praise during the past few years for other work issued under his direction. C" li SOUTH MAJN bT. H SPRING! I No, not quite, but we've got H the goods.
