Manager O'Mara has provided for a splendid program for next week and the week following. Beginning Monday evening there will be contests every night. The first will be for the most grace ful lady skater, the winner to receive a gold medal. On Tuesday evening a similar prize will be given to the most graceful gentleman skater and on Wednesday there will bo a prize for couple skaters. Interest is centered in the two stepping contest on Thursday. On Friday even ing there will be a fancy skating contest and on Saturday a couple race, free-for-all, with prizes. Another big event is scheduled for the even ing of February 15thA when a mask carnival on rollers will be the attraction. t t t5 The one hundredth anniversity of the birth of Felix Mendelssohn, the great composer, was fit tingly commemorated last night by the Salfc Lake Choral Society in a repetition of Elijah, at the Madame Gadski Salt Lake theatre. Prof. A. C. Lund of Provo, who studied several years abroad under a pupil of Mendelssohn's gave an interesting and delight ful talk on the great composer. O 0 ? Henrietta Crosman has arranged to appear in "Sham," by Elmer B. Harris, at the end of her vaudeville engagement. t3 Henry Miller will close his tour in "The Great Divide" the end of March, and will go to London to present the play there during April. & jt j: Gertrude Hoffman met with a painful acci dent at Cincinnati several days ago. When throwing herself upon the stage at the conclu sion of her Salome dance she fell on her face and split her nose. Although suffering much pain she gave her impersonations as usual.
