B From indications the past two weeks, the club B will be crowded all day next Saturday. Stevens goes to Omaha, Neb., late in May to visit her sister for several weeks. A delightful event of Wednesday afternoon was the luncheon given by Mrs. John E. Wood ward and Miss Katherine Judge at th.e Judge heme on Brigham street. fc5 W t5 Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Onderdonk entertained the Cup and Saucer Club at their apartments In the Kensington Tuesday evening. ? O W Tuesday afternoon Mrs. George W. Cushing and Mrs. John Sharpe entertained Ave tables at a bridge tea in honor of Mrs. Nelson Story of Montana at Mrs. Cushing's home on Brigham. Mrs. Mayo and Mrs. George W. Putnam assisted. O w The largest social affair of the week was the Charity card party at Rowland Hall Thursday afternoon for the benefit of the State Street. Orphans' Home, and as usual with these parties was one of the most pleasant events of the season. t O1 Lieutenant and Mrs. John Upham, Lieutenant arid Mrs. Albert Seaman, Captain Savage and Miss Williams entertained the Regimental Tour nament Club at the Post Monday evening. k The Wall home is open again, Colonel and Mrs. E. A. Wall having returned Sunday from a winter spent in Florida and in the east. Miss Selma Wall, who has been abroad most of the winter sails, for hor on May 12th and will re main in the east until after the graduation of her sisters. t ?5 fcT The wedding of Miss Margaret Walker, daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. David F. Walker, to Rulon S. Smoot, attracted a good deal of interest the fore part of the week. The ceremony was per formed Monday at the Walker home on C street, Reverend Charles E. Perkins officiating. The house was beautiful with California blossoms. Mr. and Mrs. Smoot are in San Francisco on a wedding trip of indefinite length. j? b , Wednesday afternoon Mrs. W. Mont Ferry, the W. S. McCornicks, Frank Knox, George Auer bach, and several others had boxes at the Colo nial for the musical matinee given by the Uni versity girls. The affair was handled excellently and a good many of the younger set were out. & Jt & Mrs. Wallace M. Bransford entertained at luncheon Monday at her apartments in the Brans ford. W fc W Mrs. Harry C. Edwards was hostess Saturday at a bridge tea in honor of Mrs. L. L. Down ing. O w Mrs. C. F. Pinkerton is hostess this after noon at a Kensington for Mrs. Charles H. Guiou of Omaha, Nebraska. 5v 7 One of the early parties of the coming week will be the dance at Cobblecrest on Brigham, for which Invitations have been issued by Mr. an"d Mm Wellington Lake. j A prettily appointed dinner of last evening was that given by Mr. and Mrs. Karl A. Scheid at their Brigham street home, covers being laid for twelve. HAPPENINGS AND WHEREABOUTS. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Franken leave tomorrow morning for New York, where with the Misses Webber and Keisel of Ogden, they will sail on May Gth for a summer in Europe. Mrs. E. B. Critchlow is In St. Paul, attending the National Association of the Y. W. O. A. Mrs. Ov J. Salisbury has decided not to return to SalULake for a month or two yet. She is in Los Angeles. Dr. J. T.
