GOODWIN'S WEEKLY. 15 B A Mans Easter Hat Is just as important as a woman's though there is not half the fuss made over it. i Nor does it cost a fraction of the one his wife will wear. Outside of Vllmos Westony's English, the Or pheum's troubles for the week have been light. Not, however, that would for a moment make light of the way in which Vilmos steps on the face of the innocent collection of nouns, verbs, and adjectives which serve as the piece de re sistance of a fine cheese sandwich, whose other portions are composed of Vilmos' smile and his piano playing. Cook and Stevens have the best Chinaman team of the season, the Chink end of it being particularly good. Pauline Moran has a clever song or two, and while the young lady is in clined to get somewhat exuberant over them, it is a good act, and her voice is worth hearing. Mildred Morris succeeds in making a sketch called "The Making of a Man" last through twenty-five minutes by her personality and the clever way she romps through the skit. Vilmos follows her, and while the Hungarian performer has a difficult number or so, his act offers very little that is novel and much that is boresome. It has been a year or so since Fanny Usher and Spareribs have been seen at the Orpheum and their return is all the more pleasing, because Miss Usher has re-written her skit, "Fagan's De- Julius Stegcr at the Orpheum Next Week in a Musical Sketch cision," into a thoroughly laughable, enjoyable act. Her own work, too, is so much cleverer than when she first offered the playlet here that she has scored quite the hit of the week, though the act divides honors with that of one Harrigan, a tramp juggler, -who crowds his stay with many .a laugh. Kroneman Brothers vary the monotony of an ordinary strong-arm act with a head-walking stunt that is remarkable. The Mission is getting squared around after the havoc wrought with its bills the past week or two by the railroads, and the program which began a week ago Friday has proven popular. Joe Boganny's troupe of lunatic bakers offered a clever act, and with L. Fremo' and company, Sallie Stembler, Edgar Berger and Eddie Dolan, kept, the, Mission filled up for the week.
