The new church at Ilcrshey has lately been adorned by a new stove on the interior, The fusion rally at Hershcy last Saturday evening addressed by Messrs, Beeler, Buchanan and Sullivan, of North Platte, was a sort of a droll affair. The audi ence which was small was made up principally of women, children and republicans. The leading fu- sionists of the locality remained at home. There was not a parti cal of enthusiasm manifested. Mr. Sullivan created a little merriment by relating a few Irish tales. W. O. Thompson has been crect ng some new dwellings for his stock on his farm north of Ilcrshey lately. We are told, by good authority that W. A. Rumors of the Burlington's ex tension into Utah arc again afloat and it is said the the officials arc negotiating for the purchase of the Utah & Wyoming franchise for the right-of-way into Salt Lake City, that the Burlington officials are so anxious to obtain this franchise at this time is that the Chicago & Northwestern is also supposed to be seeking an entry into Utah and is presumably after the same fran chise.
