Nobraska, Postofllce as second class matter Partisans Run Riot. (Sunday Omaha Beo.) Tho publication In The Bee a week vn 1 1 Hiiuirinnr nvinnnpn ri inariTU rnn palrrnnrinn or th a Nnln-nan'a flraf zntlon for tho relief of jobless demo crats," has seemed to inspire members of the majority party to get busier on tho job, rathor than to deter them. Though tho session is more than half over moro attention has been given to measures designed solely to crcato jobs for democrats than to any other one subject. Political job bills havo taken precedent over all. Tho banking bill, hc physical value of railroad property bill and all other measures havo had to take a back Beat while Mr. Hryan and Governor Shnllcnherger have their lieu tenants At work to build up tho most gigantic political machine ever created by legislative action. Laws governing tho appointment of stato employes which havo been on tho statutes for years aro being changed in order that tho governor may appoint democrats to tho places. Tho foundation of tho democratic po- lical machine was Btarted with II. R. 1 and S. F. 1. Tho first was introduced in tho interest of Mr. Bryan's candi dacy for tho United States senate The second is tho Omaha charter bill, which contains moro politics than anything else. Apparently no attempt is being mado by Mr. Bryan or tho governor to disguise their real object. Following tho introduction of II. R. 1, to promoto Mr. Bryan's candidacy for tho Bcnato, the members of tho majority have, Btop by step, laid tho foundation for tho futuro control of tho machinery of Btato. In addition to giving tho auth ority to tho governor to appoint every employe on tho pay roll of tho state save tho ofllco help of tho constitutional ofilcors, tho democrats aro attempting to sccuro for their party tho control of tho supremo court by ousting mombors of tho present court though technical! ties and to control tho patronage of tho stnto railway cornmis slon by giving to tho lono democratic member of tho commission tho author ity to prevent tho selection or tho dia charge of any employe by tho majority of the commission. Second only in importanco to tho at tempted overthrow of tho supremo court, sololy for tho purpose of giving Bomo jobs to dumocrats, and probably of equal importance, is tho attempt of Nebraska flrBt democratic legislature to give to tho governor, as a part of his political machine, tho Btato norma' schools of tho Htate, tho junior normal schools and thoso high schools in which normal training Ib taught. Tho at tempt to make of tho public schools a cog in a democratic political machine Is found in tho Cnso bill, which provides that the governor shall appoint a board of five mernbnrs who, who with tho state superintendent and tho state treasurer, nhall constitute a stute nor mal board. This board takea tho plaCo of tljo Btato board of education. Tho govornor now has tho powor to appoint the fivo momborB of tho stato board of education, but undor the now bill tho tormH of the present members ot this board will end upon tho paBsugo of tho measure. But probably the highest crimo in tho attempt to steal tho schools and mako of them political institutions ia tho attempt on tho part bf Mr. Bryan himself to mako of tho stato university an incubator to hatch out converts to his peculiur political theories. Mr. Bryan in hiu many talks regarding tho bill to establish hia school of citizenship at tho Htato university, has never said how ho threatened tho regents unless thoy established his pet school, which ho desired to bo a school of politics with himself at tho head. lie evon gavo tho members of the legislature the im pression that he was acting with tho con Bontof thoregonts in pushing that bill Mr. Bryan has boon publicly churged that ho threatened tho regents with legislative action unless thoy agreed to hia proposal. Mr. Bryan has in his possession tho ovidenco to either provo or disprove this charge, but ho rofused to give out for publication his ofllcia and private correspondence on tho mat tor. Not only all that, but by changing tho state banking lawB to givo tho gov omor supremo control in selecting ex amincra and other uBsistants to carry out the provisions of tho euarantv bill democratic' manipulators would flaunt the banks or tjio utato-as a political as est. Most of tho cows aro excellent milkers of good gentle disposition. They are of the large heavy boned typo and 01 tho most popular strains known to tho breed. Tho only just criticism is thoy are too heavy milkers for those who wish the calves to run with thorn, and have to be milked from six to eight weeks. To avoid this wo put two calves on one cow and milk the other. Prof Jensen in his remarks on the street judging exhibition nt lost years Farmers' Institute said that thoy aro unquostionnbly tho best breed of cattlo for tho avcrago sized farm, and were justly worthy of being called a dual purpose cow. The brood sows are the best odoring I havo ever put in tho ring and most of them show their guarantee. We have mated for a prolific, heavy boned, lengthy, brond and well arched back, straight legs and good feet, without sacrificing feeding qualities, and will leave it to you to judge sale day how well I havo succeeded.
