I 1 or, Thrown From a Carriage. i News was received here last Wednesday evening that a seri ous accident befell Mr. Charles Clerc, of New Iberia, and Mr. H. Eoglehart, the representative of the New Orleans Brewing Asso ciation. The two geutlemeu were out riding in Mr. Cierc's carriage, and as they passed the corner of Main aud Bwaiu streets the horse be came fractious, aud in attempting to restrain him the bit broke and the animal became frightened and dashed down Main street. When iu front of McMahon's furniture store tbe horse ran into the curb ing aud turned tbe carriage over, tbrowiug both Mr. Olerc aud Mr. Englsbardt againat tbe brick walk with terrible force.
