I !><>'> LEO CAMERON BUSY AGAIN Notorious Yout'i Who Once Stirred up Seward Heard From Leo Cameron, who has been trying for several \ears to break into soiue Inxly's penitentiary, anil who helped for several months this year to keep Seward busy, lias stepped into the lime light once more. 'This time he helped kick a hole in the side of the pi.a’ pen which serves Seattle as a cit\ jail and escaped with several other •Gentlemen who were quests of the Sound citv un der compulsion. Cameron was serving out a sentence as a disorderly person. When arrested some time a^o and taken to the police station in the patrol wa^on as he was about to desceml he jumped over Jailer ChUbriek’s head and made a run for liberty, not stopping? when shots were tired after him. He was retaken how ever. The vouni? man is the son of a Seattle % patrolman, who once arrested the boy j himself for stealing. In Seward last March he dropped a hoj? overboard i from the steamer Santa Ana, and then took a small boat and went out and ! flicked up the animal. For this feat he was rewarded with ninety days in jail. Cam* rou i> an industrious youth and he soon broke out of jail and succeeded in srettinir aboard the steamer Corwin, then in port bound for Nome. He was recovered however, and made to serve out his time.
