Men Return From Work Late yesterday afternoon George Phelps, Jerome Hachey, A. B. Potter, Bob White and Mr. Harvey arrived in town. They spent the summer work ing on the Sunrise trail under the sup ervision of Anton Hide. Bill Weaver met the party at mile 34 on the rail road. Up to that point they came in a sled and had a line ride. There is con siderable snow out in that part of the country. It varies in depth, the deep est being at Mills creek where it was about 2 feet. It was 10 inches at Can yon creek, 8 inches at Lynx creek and only 0 inches on the summit where • they expected to lind it the deepest. ! The thermometer stood at 10 degrees » # | below zero at Lynx creek the morning | of the 21st inst, the coldest weather | known there for the time of the year, and at mile 34 it was 5 below zero yes terday morning. The men report the trail on this side of the arm as being in tine condition with the streams all bridged. There is an eighty one foot bridge across Can yon creek very substantially built.
