The compliment ry dance given Wednesday evening in Moore’s hall hv the Seward baseball club was a social success. It was attended by a large number of Seward's influential citi zens. One of tlie most pleasing features of the evening was the speech made by J. S. Hofraan in behalf of the baseball club. Mr. Hofman very clearly out lined the purpose of the club in giving the dances, showed the advantage to the people of Seward in keeping up a baseball team, and explained that the money raised at the dances would enable the town to have the pleasure of attending baseball games again next summer.
