San Francisco, Sept. 20—Kan Coul
son shot and probably fatally wounded
iiis wife, killed outright a watchman
'in a local garade and wounded a
| chautieur here late last night.
The tragedy is the climax of a joy
i ride participated in by Coulson and
| the chauffeur. Returning to the gar
bage the watchman joined the gay
couple in indulging in liquid refresh
ments. While thus engaged, the
j irate husband surprised them and
opened tire. After the shooting Coul
son secreted himself and despite a
I vigorous search, had not been found
1 up to noon today.
CRAZED FATHER
DYNAMITES HOME

Bloomington, 111., Sept. 20 Max
Huerst, a crazed stonemason lof this
citv, dynamited his home at 3 o clock j
this morning. The explosion killed
Huerst, one daughter and wounded two
other daughters. By a miracle, his
wife escaped uninjured
The steamer Northwestern is in \ a1
dez and will sail for Seward at 4
o’clock this afternoon.
