Wiley, the noted pure food expert, has been tendered and is seriously con sidering an offer to become commis sioner of health for the city of New York. Since retiring from the pure food department of the secretary of agriculture, under the Taft adminis tration, Dr. Wiley has been editing a pure food department in the magazine called Good FTousekeeping.
