——— ■ - 1 —— SEWARD DAILY GATEWAY GATEWAY publishing co. G. L. JUDSON. - - - LESSEE SUBSCRIPTION RATES* One Dollar per Month; Ten Cents a Copy Seward, Alaska, April 2, 1^14. Eric Nelson, the well known Fair banks to Cleary stage man. is going to put on an automobile stage line be tween some coast town and the inter ior metropolis. Mr. Nelson is now on the outside selecting the type and model of machine best suited to the needs of the trattle, and is planning on placing his line iu operation early in the spring. At the present time be is undecided as to whether he will make Chitina or Valdez his coast terminal, and in this respect be is in the same position as the United States govern ment, and we believe that it would be well for Mr. Nelson to take a leaf from the book of Uncle Sam and have a good look at Seward before be finally de cides. As a matter of fact it might be well for him not to put too much mou ev into the new venture at this time as within another year there wiP doubt less be railroad connections between Sew a rd and Fairbanks, and that would spoil a stage line.
