Yesterday we were out of work so we helped the little girls to darn stockings and Louisa enjoyed darn ing very much. Bertha and Louisa like to work in the sewing room because when there is no sewing to do they helped the little girls to darn stockings and they said its easy to mend stockings. Lizzie Whirl Wind Bear is a new £irL She just came in few days ago. She works over here with us in the sewing room. Mrs. Skenandore assistant seam stress resigned. Miss Nora A11 man is assistant now. Louisa Iron Wing was home a week. We are glad she is with us again. FARM. We have been taking up leetares about swine every morning. W e learned that there are several kinds of breeds of swine. We farmers are getting ready to Pi ow and run any machine that comes around for spring work. The farmer gives us lectures every morning and I have learned how to tell different breeds of hogs. Here are some of them: Poland China is black with white markings on head and feet The Duroc Jersey is a red hog or light brown. Ke has a short head and slightly dished face and drooping ears. Chester White has the name of his color. His ears are drooping and his body is large and compact KITCHEN Cheer up girls when you are at work don't stand around, just stick to your test, wash the dishes clean and wipe them with a clean towel don use a dirty towel, it is bad to do so. SSmong £ur departments. 34. i work in the kitchen. I like my work pretty well. I hope you girls are gl.-d that spring is coming. Mrs. Lag teaches us how to cook the food. I like my work, but one thing I don't like is to scrub the floor with oar hands and wipe it with our knees and make ourselves dirty. 1 like to work in kitchen but I don't like to scrub all the time. We scrub the kitchen every day, morning and afternoon. Mrs. Ing always give us a talk about how to keep the kitchen clean and also about cooking. I hope I'll learn something from my work. Don be weary when you are told to do a work Oh, dear I like to hear the dishes jingle, it seems the dishes are saying, "wipe me. the water is getting into my eyes." Give a little attention to your kitchen and clean it every day. I am working in the kitchen and I am learning how to make gravy. I like my work very much and hope to do better next time. Be not weary in well doing. I am working in the kitchen learn ing how to cook and make gravy. And hope to learn some things in the future days. MANUAL TRAINING DEPARTMENT. In the manual training class we are making good progress and now we can handled the tools correctly. Having completed the first model, a key rack, we are now making a foot stool. I like my work and feel like staying with it I finds me loyal to my teacher and my job. A combination machine for the carpenter shop and a turning lathe for the manual training classes are now enroute to the school. They will be installed on their arrival and will be a great aid in getting out the carpenter work. Power for both machines will be furnished by a gasoline engine.
