Brown Bros., sheep breeders, at the Fremont County fair, was a fine one, and would have secur ed a creditable recognition at any fair in the state. Their breed as shown by the accom panying photograph, is Cotsw T old, which, in the opinion of many of the leading sheep men of the West, is for this country, the best known. "The Cotswold," says an enthusiast, "is a very strong breeder; he puts his impress on his off spring with emphasis and pre cision. His record as a cross breeder throughout the entire West entitles him to recogni tion as one of the grandest sheep of the world. They are better mothers, better milkers, better nestlers and better feed any of the coarse wool breeds." Brown Bros, exhibit of these fine animals were top specimens, and were awarded the sweepstakes at this fair. The sheep ranch of these en terprising breeders is 200 acres in extent, and is located on the famous Elgin bench, two miles north of Parker, Idaho. Owing to the peculiar physical condition of their tract, almost the entire ranch is snb-irrigat ed, rendering surface irrigation largely unnecessary.
