RULES OF CONTEST
(1), This contest is open to all exeept employes of The Cordele Digpatch,
(2) Prizes will be awarded on the basis of the number of votes received by
each contestant, one vote to be given with cach TIEN CENTS worth of mer
chandise purchased from any firm whose advertisement appears in the Prize
Page in The Dally Dispatch and Weekly, (3) The first prize will be awarded
to the person having the largest number of votes secured from the various
firms on this page; the sccond prize to the second largest number of votes,
ete. In case of a tic hetween any two contestants, the prizes in question will
be equally divided between the two, (4) Coupons for votes can be issugd only
V firms whose advertisements appear on the P'rize Page of the Dispatch, (5)
otes will be awarded on the PAYMENT OF MONEY, either in a CASH trans
action or in the settlement of old accounts,or weekly or monthly charge ac
counts if paid promptly when they become due. (6) All individuals, societies
or organizations of any kind are eligible to enter this contest, Purchases made
by one person not a contestant may be credited to the voting account of an
other, provided such credit does not in any way amount to a transfer of the
votes of one contestant to another contestant. (7) All votes must be placed in
envelope, scaled, signed and deposited before the close of the contest in a box
provided for this purpose in The Dispatch office. The box will not be opened
nor will there be any count made of any votes until the contest is over. (8)
Votes will be counted by Voting Coupons furnished contestants by firms whose
advertisements appear on this page. (9) The prizes will be awirded as soon
after the contest is over as a committee appointed for the purpose can check
the votes, (11) No vote can be counted which is not regularly carned ‘in a pur
chase at one of these stores represented in the advertisements on this page. If
the judges find there are votes used that were not earned, the contestant will
be Immediately disqualified. €11) Contestants will not be allowed to consoli
date their votes. ;%uch person must remain in the contest to the end. If in
the final count the judges find that a contestant has other than his own earned
votes, such contestant will be barred at that time.
