Trippe, 73, one of the best kfiown citizens of the town and community, was killed instantly here this afternoon at 2 o’'clock when he attempted to cross the Cenfral of Georgia railroad tracks at the depot in frout of fast freight No, 47. He died instantly but was uot mangled as his body was knocked clear of the track.
