Board of County Commissioners met in regular session at Big Stone City, the county seat of Grant County, I). T. but a quorum not being present, board adjourned until January 2nd, at 2 o'clock i\ M. The board being reliably informed that the office of Judge of Probate is vacant on account of the death of Thomas B. Ingersoll, the legally elect ed Judge of Probate, motion was made and carried that II. 11. Bu rnell be and is appointed to fill said vacancy. On motion the olticial bond of Alex ander Meadows for Sheriff of Grant County, I). T., was accepted. On motion the quarterly rejwrt of John A. Munro, Justice of the Peace, ending June 30, 18v2 was accepted. On motion the report of John A. Munro, J. for the quarter euding Dec. 31,1882 was accepted.
