S. D. April 4th, 1921, 8:00 P. M. At a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Milbank, South Dakota, held on the above oate, the following members responded to roll call. Aldermen—Goodman, Grams, Nel son, Jurgens, Riley. Absent—Aid. Schneider. Aid. Goodman. President of thi Council, presided. The minutgs of the meetings held March 7th, arid March 28th, 1921, were read and approved as read. The report of the City Trea.-urer for the month of March 1921, was read and on motion caried, the same was accepted and" ordered placed on file. The bills presented were read and audited. Motion made by Aid. Riley, seconded by Aid. Riley, that the follow ing named persons having received a majority of the votes cast at the an nual municipal election held in the City of Milbank, S. D., on April 19th, 1921, are hereby declared duly elect ed officers for said City of Milbank for tiie next two years ensuing and the City Auditor of said city is here by instructed to issue certificates of election to each of them, vis: N. F. Nelson. Mayor, Phil C. Saunders, City Treasurer, John W. Liggett, City Justice of the Peace, A. J. Bleter, Po lice Justice of the Peace, Roy J. Bran non, Alderman from the fir?t ward, B. C. Voss, Alderman from the 2nd Ward, and A. C. Grams, Alderman from the 3rd ward. Motion carried by unanimous roll call vote. Mr. Chas. McWaters was appointed City Assessor for the year 1921 the said appointment was confirmed by roll call vote of the City Council. On motion carried the salary of the City Assessor is fixed at $250.00 and $39.00 for writing up the duplicate book, for the year 1921. On motion carried the bond of Chas. Mc Waters as Assessor in the penal sum of $500.00 with Lloyd Thirsk and M. H. Wiseman as sureties is approved. Ordinance No. 123 "An ordinance prescribing the manner, condition and terms of the payment of special as sessment to grade, pave and curb thej streets, avenues and alleys of the City of Milbank, Grant County, S. Dakota, and amending Ordinance No. 148" passed jts first reading. The following resolution mas pre sented by Aid. Grams, who moved its adoption, seconded by Aid.
