and 34 In Block 4 of Gesley's Second
Vddltion to the town (now city) of
Watertown, in Codington County, and
State of South Dakota, according to
tiie recorded plat thereof.
Notice is hereby given to the follow
ing named person, to-wit: To Louisa
Miles, owner of record of said lots 23,
2*. 25, 2fi, 27, 2R, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, and
34 In Bit id Block 4 and person in
whose name said lots are taxed.
That there being no bidders for all
oi any of the lots above described, at
the public sale for taxes, held upon the
dates hereinafter mentioned, said lots
were sold to Codington County, South
Dakota as follows, to-wit: On Novem
ber 29, 1893, for the taxes for the year
1892 on November 4, 1895, for the
tuxes of the year 1893 on November
1S95, for the taexs for the year
l!94 on November 2, 1896, for the
taxes for the year 1895 on November
1, 1897, for the taxes for the year

G. Gesley, is by assignment to him
cf the certificates of said sales, the
legal owner and holder thereof, and
ot the lien of said subsequent taxes,
and is now in possession of said lots,
pnd that the right of redemption from
said sales will expire and a tax deed
of said lots may be made, within or
at the expiration of sixty days from
the date upon which service of this
notice shall be completed, as provid

Mrs. Kehoe, wife of Watertown's
first baseman, Kehoe, together with
her little daughter, has returned to
Minneapolis after a visit with the
husband and father in Watertown.
J. W. Carroll closed a successful
term of school in the C. A. White
district near Florence last Friday
and is in Watertown for a time stop
ping with friends.
Carl Johnson, a brother-in-law will
have charge of Atty. McFarland's of
fflce and practice during his absence.
Mr. Johnson is a former Watertown
boy and has just graduated from a
law course at Yale University.
M. R. Baskerville and J. F. McFar
laiid of Watertown were in town on
Ihursdny on business. They wore a
niong the Elks who made the recent
South Shore, S. D., were sold for tax
es then due and delinquent for the visit of the Watertown delegation to
