ing at a furious rate racing with a team
they met, endangering the lives of the
two families. Having passed them
Richard Secor with his buggy ran over

of stones bruisinz her badly. Those
voung gentlemen should be hauled up
for cruelty to animals and severely
puuished.

W. Sheil has on hand a large stock of
'j.eral groceries and is a good fellow

a store near the station and as soon as
it is complete he will move into It. A
new fltiition house is bo'uxi built also
a large saw and grist mill which will,
no doubt, be a great help to the place
and it will not be long before Fair's
station will be a very busy little burg.
-The annual school meeting will
be held next Monday evening for
the purpose of electing a Director
in place of W. Jl. J 'aimer resigned.
Xow that Hrockwav Centre has
a fine large hall, why would it not
be a good scheme lor tne young
folks to meet together some time
soon and organize an Amateur
Dramatic Club for the purpose of
entertainment this fall ami winter
and also for improvement.
The papers of Macomb county
are loud against the history of that
county lately written by M. A. Lee
son A Co., claiming it to be a fraud.
The linn are at present writing up a
history of this county and it would
be well for tho inhabitants to tind
out whether the history be correct
beforo subscribing for the work.
